OIC Foreign Relations Breakthrough Project continues..........
3-Non-state organizations have been ardently seeking all types of Weapons of Mass Destruction. A 9-11 style attack with such weapons could kill hundreds of thousands of people. The retaliation for such acts could be catastrophic as well. 4-There are numerous conflicts throughout the Middle East, in Central Africa and now in the Ukraine. 200,000 people have been killed in Syria. Large numbers of people have died and continue to die and suffer needlessly. 5-The abuse of human rights is taking place all over the world. There is a multi-billion dollar trade in kidnapping and trafficking young girls and woman to work as prostitutes. They are not paid. They are raped, beaten and they threaten to kill their family members were they to try to escape. Men and other women are trafficked to work as slave laborers. The abuse of various other forms of human rights are perpetrated in many countries. People are stoned to death, whipped and raped including elderly women and children. People of all ages are tortured and imprisoned in various countries often for acts such as looking the wrong way at public events, anti-government comments and for other acts that most civilized people would not consider criminal. Millions have had to flee their countries to live in tents in neighboring countries due to conflicts, terrorism and brutal regimes in the last 3 years. Numerous women are raped every day in the conflict zones in Central Africa. Hundreds of children are abducted to be used as child soldiers in Africa. Breakthrough Solutions It is certainly true that terrorists, brutal regimes, despicable dictators, criminal gangs and fanatics perpetrate horrendous acts compromising the safety, health, rights and security of millions. They are diminishing national, regional and global security. Our world is more dangerous now than at any other time in history. What is also true is that highly trained, skilled and experienced government problem solvers such as foreign policy makers, negotiators, security strategists others are NOT solving these challenges. So the question is, Why aren't they preventing and resolving our world's most serious security, humanitarian and environmental challenges? They are handicapped by the same shortcomings that all people have when not solving serious problems. That is limited conscious awareness. Put another way, their ability to accurately recognize or identify critically important factors is insufficient. More simply put, they are blind to what it will take to overcome the obstacles they face or do not really know what the most important obstacles are. It is because of limited conscious awareness they cannot formulate successful foreign policies related to dealing with adversaries. This also accounts for the inability of negotiators to get on the same channel with adversaries they negotiate with. While human beings all have limitless problem solving capabilities, their varying and current dimensions of conscious awareness will not grant them access to those capabilities. Thus having the ability to expand one’s dimension or scope of conscious awareness brings into view the issues and information necessary to produce breakthrough solutions. Can you get your car to run by working on the carburetor when the real problem is an empty gas tank? The answer is obviously no. However, if you don’t have the conscious awareness needed to realize the tank is empty, you will continue working on the carburetor going nowhere. If a foreign policymaker cannot recognize that they are addressing the wrong issues or don’t realize the information they have is inaccurate or distorted, the result could be chaos, death, injuries, destruction, refugees, mass murder, diminished security, lost revenue and worse.
